Chimney Repointing
Crumbling mortar joints raked out and renewed before they let water in.
Your chimney takes the worst weather your house gets, and the lead around it is where most roof leaks actually start. We repair both, and urgent jobs get attended fast.

Chimneys stand above everything else on the house, catching the wind and the rain first and drying out last. Mortar joints crumble, caps crack and the lead that seals the chimney to the roof works loose over the years. We handle the whole job: repointing, stack repairs and lead flashing replaced properly, not patched with sealant until next winter.
Speed matters when a chimney starts letting water in, and our reviews show we get that. One verified customer, Linda Pearson, left five stars because her urgent chimney repair was completed the very next day. Whether it is an emergency or a job you have been putting off, you get the same free drone survey first, so the quote is based on photographs of your chimney rather than a guess from the pavement.
Crumbling mortar joints raked out and renewed before they let water in.
Soakers, aprons and step flashing replaced where the stack meets the roof.
Loose bricks, cracked caps and unstable stacks made safe and sound.
Wind-lifted flashing and storm-lost caps put back right, fast.
Finding whether the damp is really the chimney, the flashing or the roof beside it.
Every face of the stack photographed before anyone quotes you.
A damp patch on the ceiling beside the chimney gets diagnosed as a chimney problem about half the time, in our experience. The other half, the water is coming in through the lead flashing where the stack meets the roof, or through a cracked tile on the slope just above it, and running down before it shows itself. Repairing the chimney when the flashing is the culprit means paying twice.
That is why every chimney job of ours starts with the drone survey. We photograph the stack from every side and the roof junction around it, so the quote names the actual fault. If the flashing has lifted, we replace the lead rather than smearing sealant over it, because sealant is a next-winter problem waiting to happen.
If the stack itself needs work, the repointing or brick repairs are done to match what is there, and anything dislodged during the work is cleaned off the roof rather than left in your gutters. You can see our other roofing services, from insurance repairs to moss removal, elsewhere on the site, or start from our roofers in Northampton page.
Lead is worth protecting in its own right. It is the single most expensive component on a standard roof per square foot, it is targeted by thieves on accessible stacks, and a poorly refixed sheet can lift in the first gale. When we refix or replace lead, it is done to the code and weight the job needs, dressed and clipped properly, because lead work done cheaply is the repair we get called back to redo most often.
